How to publish a book in a week
We were tasked with a whirlwind of a project when approached to edit, layout, design, and publish a 140-page hardcover sales training manual – in under a week! It was an extraordinary request, but with a dedicated team and a few late nights, we managed to pull it off.
Our client and sales guru, Sidharth Srivastava, had an international training seminar during which he wanted to present his personal experiences and knowledge about successful sales methods and processes. Sid, a South African sales maestro, breaks the conventional style and routine of old-fashioned cold calling and sales, and has formulated his own methodology that he has perfected and implemented over many years.
FLANCE was presented with a 60-page Word document, which had been written late into the night by a number of authors. We had 48 hours to professionally copywrite the content, edit, and proofread before sending it to the design team to be laid out in a custom book. Simultaneously, we were sent additional content and edits, at the same time we were working on the original copy. The team worked tirelessly around the clock, and well into the weekend so that the final book could be collected from the printers on a Sunday morning.
We hold our relationship with our printers near and dear to our heart and at the 11th hour, they were our saving grace. The team at Trident Press took on our project with ease, hardly batting an eyelash at our extraordinary request. They too worked tirelessly, through the weekend to meet our client’s deadline and delivered a flawless product.
The book flew out as quickly as it was briefed in, and Sid’s training day was a huge success. See what it was all about, and to maybe learn a thing or two about effective people management.
